how to get ceramic

Ceramic is a commonly used resource in Astroneer that is used to craft a variety of structures and items. Here's how to get ceramic in Astroneer:

ceramic farming

  1. Gather Laterite: Ceramic is made by smelting Laterite in a furnace. Laterite can be found on the surface of most planets and moons in Astroneer. It is a brown, rocky material that can be mined using the Terrain Tool.
  2. Smelt Laterite: Once you have gathered some Laterite, you will need to smelt it in a Furnace. To build a Furnace, you will need Compound, which can also be found on most planets and moons. Once you have built a Furnace, place it on the ground and connect it to a source of power, such as a Solar Panel or a Wind Turbine. Then, place the Laterite in the input slot of the Furnace and wait for it to be smelted into Aluminum.
  3. Convert Aluminum to Ceramic: After the Laterite has been smelted into Aluminum, you can use the Chemistry Lab to convert the Aluminum into Ceramic. To build a Chemistry Lab, you will need a Medium Fabricator, which requires Iron to craft. Once you have built a Chemistry Lab, place it on the ground and connect it to a source of power. Then, place the Aluminum in the input slot of the Chemistry Lab and wait for it to be converted into Ceramic.

That's it! Once you have ceramic, you can use it to craft a variety of structures and items in Astroneer, such as Storage Silos, Large Shuttles, and more.
