My first base on Astroneer!

I managed to use a winch to bring this bubble thing that I found nearby and put it on a node.



This is also another wreakage that I found while exploring, getting it to be upright took alot of time but its doable with the winch.

Vehicles

Astroneer Vehicles Guide

Four different types of vehicles are currently available in Astroneer.  They can be crafted via the Vehicle Bay base module. Each have a different variety in slots, size, power and speed.

Tips
Don't make 1-Seat modules using the vehicle bay, use the printer so you can remove it in the future.
Both Rovers and Trucks can be chained to form a train to increase hauling capacities.
If a storm is starting up, being in a vehicle's seat will guard you against the dangerous rocks.

Random Player joins my sessions on purposely crashes the game

A grief-er seems to be able to join random players game and crash the clients.

Here is a video clip of how a random guy joins my game and then proceeds to cause destruction and destroy things until the game crashes out.


Lucky for us today's patch notes includes a fix for this exact issue.

Patch notes for version 0.2.115.0:

• Ensure that players joining a Steam MP session are friends with someone currently in session.

Gameplay Video: First Look at Astroneer!

My first look at Astroneer, here is about 1 hour of gameplay taking during the live stream on twitch by daopa.


Art style for the game is very interesting and different from other space/planet games. The game controls were easy to understand right off the bat. Character movement and animations are smooth but seems to bog down after a couple of hours of playing. Being that its still in pre-alpha state there is bound to be some performance issues and bugs. But overall the game generally worked really well for my gaming system.
